Meet Reggie and Rya (bonded pair)

Reggie and Rya are a loving duo who are looking for their purrfect home!

This duo loves being around their foster, either following along or hanging out on top of the home office desk during the workday. They are both vocal when it's time to eat, while playing, or when they want attention. They will often climb on their foster's lap or come up next to them for some cuddles and pets.

This cute pair has discovered the mysterious thing known as the computer mouse, which has led to entertaining them with cat tv to keep them off the computer during the workday. Rya is a particularly big fan of the Cat TV episode that features squirrels and birds enjoying some snacks.

Reggie and Rya enjoy making biscuits, zoomies, playing with wand toys, and a variety of other catnip infused or springy toys. Rya can be a bit hesitant around new wand toys, so starting slow works best while she becomes comfortable with the new toy. They both will carry around toys in their mouth and sometimes meow so you can witness their catch.

These two often cuddle with each other on a collapsed cave bed, ottoman, or elevated pet bed. The elevated pet bed also gives them a good place to hide that's also accessible. This is especially beneficial when they're adjusting to a new space, so they can be in a private spot and observe their surroundings safely.

Reggie is very food motivated (human and cat food) so must be fed wet food separately from Rya (he can be fed in a crate or separate room). When he's deep into his nap, you may hear some adorable snoring. Reggie can be overstimulated when he gets too many pets and will turn to grab your arm/hand; his future humans should be aware of this and be ready to redirect him before he progresses to using his claws or teeth. Reading his body language will help him discharge his energy in fun, active ways! .

Rya is a reserved girl and can startle easily (from loud noises or fast movement/approaches), but she loves getting pets when she comes up for cuddles or to rub against your legs. She's a pro at hide-and-seek and can stay in her hiding spot for a long time, even when a container of treats is shaken.

These two currently live in one level of a townhouse and remain separated from the foster's resident cats. They would thrive in a quiet, chill home where they can be the only pets in the house, with people who are excited to give them lots of attention while reading their body language and helping them feel comfortable and safe. They have not been around children before, but would probably do okay with gentle, cat-savvy older children or teens.

It's best if there are only accessible, safe, cat-friendly hiding spaces in the home, to ensure Rya doesn't end up in an undesirable predicament. Regular nail trims and providing access to scratching posts and pads will also help them discharge their energy.
They each will need their own carrier; soft-sided is recommended for Rya as she has hurt herself trying to claw out of a hard sided carrier. Covering them with a blanket while in the carrier helps them with stress and when they're in the carriers at the same time, make sure they can see each other as that also calms them down (put one blanket over the two carriers).

Reggie and Rya are adjusting to the joys of home life and have so much love to give the right patient, compassionate human who can welcome them and help them continue their journey. In turn, they will provide lots of love, affection, and quiet companionship. Could their forever home be with you?
