Meet Rambo! She and her four siblings got a heroic start in life when some wonderful Heartland supporters spotted them outside and gave them a safe place to land. After getting some love and pampering in their finder's care, they made their way to us, spent time blossoming in a fantastic foster home, and are now officially back at the shelter! They've had quite the journey, but these beautiful babies are ready for a quiet home that will allow them to come out of their shells at their own pace. <br/><br/>Here is what their foster mom has to say about her:<br/><br/>"She came in as a stray to Heartland and she was very scared at first. You couldn't touch her or be close to her without hissing and she was always hiding. The good news is that in foster care, she has made a little progress. <br/><br/>Rambo gets along with all of her siblings -- plays with every toy! Springs, ping pong balls, cat wands and feathers, laser light and any other toy she can get her paws on. She has enjoyed the cat trees, scratchers and tunnels! <br/><br/>She has just started to come join her siblings in making biscuits -- while she is doing this, she welcomes being pet. All over body pets and will give you her belly for some extra. <br/><br/>She has been enjoying the community fluffy, furry cat bed. <br/><br/>Rambo does not like to be picked up. She is still very shy when she is approached. She hisses a lot - but it is just her 'talking' -- if you get her to lay down and pet her, she will give in and begin to enjoy. She will come right up to you with a churro treat in your hand -- she will lick it off of your finger -- she doesn't bite when she is doing this. <br/><br/>She is used to having videos on or music. <br/><br/>She will need time to trust her person -- strongly suggest to start her in a small room and spend time with her. She will begin to trust you before you give her the whole house."<br/><br/>Rambo is spayed and up-to-date on her FVRCP and Rabies vaccines.<br/><br/>She is currently staying at our Heartland Facility! We are open Thursday 4pm-7pm, Friday 4pm-7pm, Saturday Noon-6pm and Sunday Noon-6pm. Feel free to stop by to meet her! No appointment necessary.
