Description: Update: The staff is making progress with Rajah. With wet food enticement along with a little medication to relieve her anxiety, Rajah is becoming friendlier, more approachable, and even touchable. Yet she is quick to hiss and smack you if you push her boundaries too far. She is an independent and strong-willed kitty and she wants things on her terms. And when they are not, she is angry about it. But we have hope for Rajah to turn the corner and make a full transition.

Rajah is an extremely shy cat who doesn't understand why she is at the shelter. She loves wet food but she only eats it if we aren't watching her. Rajah has not wanted to have anyone pet her and, while we are trying, she is resisting our efforts to show her we care. Our hope is that Rajah will improve in a home environment after she realizes she is safe and loved and hopefully the only kitty in the house.
