Rainey's Story
If you would like an application or have any questions, please send an email to us at:
info@ht-ac.org

Rainey was rescued from an abusive situation. She is currently in a foster home in Madison with dogs, other cats, and young grandchildren who visit frequently, and she is comfortable with everyone. When she arrived, she had no vision in her right eye due to a cataract and posterior synechiae (iris stuck to lens), which may have been the result of trauma or an infection when she was younger. Her eye was removed to prevent painful complications in the future, such as glaucoma. She has fully recovered from the surgery, and is doing well. She is very friendly after she settles in. Due to past trauma, it takes Rainey time to trust people, but she is very loyal and sweet once someone has earned her trust. She is not afraid of dogs or children, and is comfortable with cats that are mellow and give her space. She would also be fine as an only pet.
She is one year old, and has been spayed, vaccinated for rabies/distemper, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $300.
