Punky's Story

Punky is a special boy with a funny secret: he was born a barn cat, but he completely flunked out of farm life because he was just too darn friendly!

Punky originally lived in a kind farmer's outdoor colony, but he had zero interest in staying outside. He was so incredibly social that he kept trying to sneak indoors to be a full-time house kitty. Since the farmhouse was already packed to the brim, the farmer knew Punky deserved a home where he could fulfill his dream of being a pampered indoor pet.

Making the official move indoors was a little scary at first for this shy guy, and he was quite unsure of himself. But Punky had a secret weapon: his foster friend, Kingsley. Kingsley has been showing him the ropes, teaching him how to play with the resident doggos, how to hang out politely, and exactly how to line up for treats while their foster momma is working.

The Sweetest Teenager: Punky has completely blossomed into a gentle, affectionate snuggle bug.

Expert Mouser: He hasn't forgotten his roots! Thanks to his early farm days, he has excellent hunting instincts and will keep your home bug- and rodent-free.

The Ultimate Social Butterfly: Because he grew up in a colony, Punky absolutely loves the company of other felines.

The Ideal Home:
Punky would thrive best in a home with multiple cats or a household ready to adopt him with another kitten friend. He looks to other animals for confidence and truly loves being part of a pack. If you have a friendly cat who needs a buddy, or a cat-friendly dog who likes a gentle kitty roommate, Punky is your guy. He is sweet, gentle, and officially ready to trade his foster life for a forever couch of his own.

--
Our adoption fee includes spay/neuter and microchipping for all animals. Our adoption fee is $300 per cat.

All have had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer and treated for fleas and ear mites if needed. All cats are tested for FeLV/FIV at six months of age. If you are interested in meeting this cat, please fill out an application on our website!

https://www.therescuepack.org/cat-adoption-application

The Rescue Pack's Adoption Policy
If interested in one of our animals, please fill out an application on our website. The application will then be reviewed by our applications team and passed on to the foster of the animal that was applied for. The foster will then review the application and, if deemed a good fit, will initiate a phone call with the applicant. If, after the phone call, both applicant and foster feel it is a good fit, a meeting with the animal will be scheduled. Once the meeting happens, and the approval from both foster and applicant are given to move forward - our adoptions team will send an electronic payment link to the adopter. Once payment has been received, our adoption contract will be sent along with vet records. The foster and the adopter will agree on an official adoption date - and the animal will now live happily ever after! If an applied for animal is no longer available, our team will assist in trying to find another good fit! If an application is not a good fit, the applicant will also be notified.
