Meet Precious! This middle aged gal is looking for the right home that will embrace her friendly but slightly independent personality. Precious would thrive as the only cat in the home as she has a history of not getting along with another cat in her previous household. She would thrive in an indoor-only home as she has some chronic eye discharge which likely affects her vision and ability to stay safe (away from predators, cars, etc). Precious has acclimated nicely to the Shelter environment and is enjoying safe, indoor living. Staff observed that one she gets to know you, she head butts hands, rolls on side and is very affectionate. Precious is looking for a home with she can be the queen of her castle. Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
