VIP: Pounce was adopted from us when he was a tiny kitten and now at the age of 8 needs a new home because the child was allergic to him. He is a shy kitty who is affectionate at night. He may hide at first in his new home but does come around. Pounce is using the litterbox at the shelter. He is good with other cats and is afraid of children and dogs. Pounce is aloof but also a playful cat who likes to use a scratching post. He likes to hunt and likes catnip too! Pounce really wants his forever home! <br/><br/>Adopted animals are not able to go to their new home until spay and neuter surgery has been done. <br/>Adoptions are first come first serve, and no appointment or application is needed. Plano Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy
Adoptions are first come first serve. There is no application. Anyone over 18 years of age is eligible to adopt provided that they meet the adoption criteria for that specific animal. Criteria can range from having basic knowledge of the animal’s species or breed, having an established veterinary history, not having young children, the animal being legal to own in the city they live in, the breed they’re interested in being accepted at their apartments, etc. If a potential adopter doesn’t meet the criteria in place for that animal, they will be encouraged to look at other animals that may not have those restrictions in place. The criteria must also be met in order to visit with an animal.
