One-year-old Poncho is an engaging buff-orange little guy who loves attention and lots of play, so he should be adopted into an active home where he won't be alone for very long, with people who will engage him often. He peacefully coexists with the other cat in his foster home and sort of tolerates the dog. While he has not been observed with kids, we think he'd do well in a home with respectful kids who understand how to treat cats well. He's also on the small side, so he's likely to retain a kitten-like appearance for the rest of his life.

He has been:
- neutered
- vaccinated
- tested negative for FIV and FeLV.

His adopter will receive his medical records. There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee so we can continue to help cats in need. He is being fostered in Boston's Back Bay area.

Cats can live up to 20 years, so give careful thought to the changes that are likely to occur in your life during that time. For the safety of all concerned during the pandemic, meetings are virtual; fosters are supplying short video clips of the cats to potential adopters and/or connecting via video chat, and adopters are making their adoption decisions based on that. This has streamlined and improved the adoption process.
