Meet Pika

Pika is a stunningly beautiful, affectionate one-year-old ball of floof looking for a loving, cat-savvy furever home to fill with love and snuggles.

This regal little lady loves nothing more than curling herself up into a ball on your lap. She literally would be content to camp out in a lap for the entire day. She is a marvelous companion who converses in cute little meow squeaks and demands to be the center of your world.

Pika is a low to medium energy cat who relishes social time but also appreciates the art of the perfect nap and diligent self-care. Maintaining this level of gorgeousness is not child's play. She has a couple spurts of energy throughout the day and indulges in play but is more of a lounger at heart. Give this girl a sunbeam, a lap and bowl of chicken in gravy, and she'll blow your ears out with her purr machine. She is also generous with her kisses if you are on her "good sort" list.

Pika uses the litter box perfectly and is not a picky eater. She in fact relishes her meals and is a member of the slow food movement, taking her time to savor every last bite or crunch. It's not always elegant (don't tell her I said that), but her joy in eating is a pleasure to observe. She definitely does love her wet food and will expect her next crew of human staff to maintain that service.

Pika’s ideal forever home would be a calm, loving environment with people who are home frequently enough to satisfy her need to be in a lap as much as possible. She will thrive in a home that is predictable, with familiar and reliable routines. Pika is not overly energetic so doesn't need a ton of room, but she does enjoy quality cat tv, so sunny windows and a perch to survey the world outside are a big plus. This little diva is not a fan of little people or other animals and will make her displeasure known with nipping and, if very stressed, biting. Her home needs to be and remain child-free, and she needs to be the only pet. Because of this behavioral history, Pika is not a good "first pet" cat and requires a home with people who are well-versed in reading cat cues and can calmly and patiently redirect her responses to stress as needed.

If you are looking for an affectionate companion with a good dose of cattitude to shower with love and attention, please consider adding Pika to your family.
