Phobo's Story

Meet Phobo — professional snuggler, shoulder rider, and full-time lover!

Phobo was born on March 14, 2024, after his pregnant mama arrived at a rural animal shelter. And while his siblings may have grown up and found homes, Phobo somehow kept getting overlooked. Because adoptions are slow and the shelter is overcrowded, this incredibly special boy has spent his entire life waiting for a family.

And honestly... how?!

Phobo is the cat who runs to the door when a human walks in. He wants to be held, nestles his head right into your neck, curls up on your lap, or happily rides around on your shoulders like he owns the place. He is gentle, confident, affectionate, and absolutely convinced that every human he meets is a potential best friend.

He has been a favorite of shelter volunteers for a very good reason: Phobo is pure sweetness. And his social skills don't stop with people! He spent his days co-mingling with roughly 150 other cats and got along with everyone. He'd likely be happy as your one-and-only, with feline friends, and possibly even with doggy siblings.

Oh, and did we mention his fur?! It may be the softest fur in the entire cat kingdom. Seriously. Petting Phobo should probably come with a warning: may cause excessive snuggling and an inability to stop touching the cat.

After spending his whole life in a shelter, Phobo has finally joined our rescue. Now we're determined to help him find what he's been waiting for all along...
A human. Or several humans. A lap. A shoulder. A neck to nestle into. And a family who will love him as fiercely as he loves them.

Phobo has been saving up two years' worth of love, and he's ready to pay it back tenfold.

All he needs now is someone who will finally say, “Phobo, you're home.”

--
Our adoption fee includes spay/neuter and microchipping for all animals. Our adoption fee is $300 per cat.

All have had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer and treated for fleas and ear mites if needed. All cats are tested for FeLV/FIV at six months of age. If interested in one of our animals, please fill out an application on our website. The application will then be reviewed by our applications team and passed on to the foster of the animal that was applied for. The foster will then review the application and, if deemed a good fit, will initiate a phone call with the applicant. If, after the phone call, both applicant and foster feel it is a good fit, a meeting with the animal will be scheduled. Once the meeting happens, and the approval from both foster and applicant are given to move forward - our adoptions team will send an electronic payment link to the adopter. Once payment has been received, our adoption contract will be sent along with vet records. The foster and the adopter will agree on an official adoption date - and the animal will now live happily ever after! If an applied for animal is no longer available, our team will assist in trying to find another good fit! If an application is not a good fit, the applicant will also be notified.
