Petunia C10380's Story
Meet Petunia! This stunning little calico is full of personality, opinions, and charm. Petunia came to rescue after being found abandoned with her siblings in someone's driveway, and while she had a rough start, she has proven herself to be one resilient, beautiful girl.

Petunia is still settling into home life and learning that people can be safe and comforting. When she feels secure, she absolutely loves affection and will happily curl up right on top of you for a cozy nap. She's especially fond of sleeping on her people and enjoys a good cuddle session-on her terms, of course. Petunia still has a little bit of that classic "torti-tude," and while she enjoys being petted and loved on, she can become overstimulated or startled and may react with a quick swat or nip. Because of this, she'll do best with someone who understands cat body language, respects her boundaries, and is willing to give her the patience and understanding she needs as she continues to build trust.

She's a very vocal girl and will almost always greet you with a little conversation the moment you open her door. Petunia hasn't quite figured out toys yet, but she's learning! For now, she's happiest perched on top of her cat tree, soaking up sunshine from the windowsill, and keeping a close eye on the world outside like the tiny queen she is.

Petunia can be nervous with new people and new situations, so she'll need a calm home that will let her settle in at her own pace. She is okay with calm, respectful dogs, but fast-moving dogs make her uncomfortable. She is still working on her feelings about other cats and does not currently enjoy the resident cats, so any feline introductions should be very slow and carefully managed.

Petunia is truly one of a kind-a funny, sassy, affectionate, and wonderfully quirky girl who is still learning how to navigate the world. She may be a little unusual, but that's part of what makes her so special. With time, patience, and the right home, Petunia has so much love and personality to share.

Petunia is from a stray surrender. If you are interested in getting to know her better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest and is not a binding contract.
