Oh, PERSIUS!<br/><br/>COSETTE is the deeply concerned Victorian widow, but her twin brother looks like the slightly bewildered aristocrat who has just discovered the family fortune is gone!<br/><br/>MEET PERSIUS <br/><br/>5-year-old Persian • Retired Gentleman • Professional Sweetheart<br/><br/>We recently introduced you to MISS COSETTE, our gloriously judgmental little Victorian widow.<br/><br/>Well...<br/><br/>She has a brother.<br/><br/>And apparently the breeder was running an entire 19th-century period drama over there. <br/><br/>Meet PERSIUS!<br/><br/>PERSIUS is 5 years old and came to us from the same breeder situation as COSETTE.<br/><br/>For the first five years of his life, PERSIUS was valuable because of what he could produce.<br/><br/>We’d like to introduce him to a radically different concept:<br/><br/>Being valuable simply because he exists. <br/><br/>And goodness gracious, is this boy sweet!<br/><br/>PERSIUS has the magnificent hair of a gentleman who owns several estates, the enormous blue eyes of someone who has just received deeply concerning news from his accountant, and an expression that suggests he may have misplaced both his monocle and the deed to the summer house.<br/><br/>Unlike his sister, who appears prepared to summon the household staff at any moment, PERSIUS seems more likely to politely apologize because you stepped on his foot.<br/><br/>He is just that sweet.<br/><br/>After 5 years in a breeder’s world, there will be no more expectations placed on this beautiful boy.<br/><br/>No more producing kittens.<br/><br/>No more being useful to someone.<br/><br/>No more measuring his worth by what he can provide.<br/><br/>From here forward, his responsibilities will include:<br/><br/> -Being ridiculously handsome<br/> <br/>-Receiving kisses upon his enormous fluffy head<br/> <br/>-Supervising grocery preparation<br/> <br/>-Testing the softness of every available bed<br/> <br/>-Perfecting his already impressive collection of facial expressions<br/> <br/>-And occasionally staring toward the ceiling as though the ancestors are speaking to him<br/><br/>PERSIUS doesn’t know it yet, but he’s retired!<br/><br/>His only job now is learning what it feels like to be someone’s beloved little boy.<br/><br/>At 5 years old, there is so much life waiting for him—soft beds, gentle hands, good food, ridiculous amounts of affection, and hopefully a family who will look at that sweet little face every single day and wonder how they ever lived without him.<br/><br/>Because PERSIUS was never just a breeder cat.<br/><br/>He was always PERSIUS...<br/><br/>He just needed someone to finally see him that way.<br/><br/>Welcome to your new life, sweet boy! <br/><br/>Your aristocratic retirement has officially begun.<br/><br/>And PERSIUS...we’ll see what we can do about that summer house! <br/><br/>There will be a lot of demand for PERSIUS. He will have an adopter very quickly! Make sure to send an email requesting an application. IF YOU ARE NOT READY FOR IMMEDIATE ADOPTION, PLEASE DO NOT APPLY!!! HE WILL NEED TO BE PICKED UP BY NEXT WEEKEND! He will fully vetted and updated on all vaccines.<br/><br/>Filling out an application does not guarantee adoption of a particular kitten. We receive many applications for each listed cat, and we review them carefully to ensure a good fit. Of approvable applications, we give precedence to the earliest that we receive.<br/><br/>All of our cats and kittens are rescued, most locally, or surrendered to us by their previous owners, and are eager to join their new families!<br/><br/>All of our cats are spayed/neutered, given age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV and FeLV, as well as given flea, heartworm, and ear mite prevention.<br/><br/>We do not DNA or allergy test our cats. We cannot guarantee the breed mix, as we are a rescue, not breeders.<br/><br/>Please note that we are a privately run rescue. We are not government funded and get very few donations.
