Meet Persephone's boys

Persephone and her five boys, about eight-nine weeks old, lost their home the person to whom they belonged decided that so many were too much to handle.

Like most kittens, they're a tad shy with strangers, but, once trust has been earned, they'll show themselves to be a joy-- they like to chase toys and each other, and cuddle up with a purr. They're a bunch of mischievous little guys loaded with kitten energy, playful and friendly-- anything that anyone could want in a kitten.

Kittens almost always do best if they are adopted in pairs or into a home that already has a cat or a cat-friendly dog, and these little ones are no exception, so they must be adopted in pairs or into a home that already has at least one four-legged pal. There will be no exceptions.

They are being fostered in North Andover in a home with kids, with whom they do well.

They have been:
- neutered
- vaccinated as age-appropriate
- treated for fleas and internal parasites
- tested negative for FIV and FeLV.

Their adopters will receive their medical records. There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee so we can continue to help cats in need.

Cats can live up to 20 years, so give careful thought to the changes that are likely to occur in your life during that time. If you can and will commit to her and provide a safe, loving home for life, then respond to RoyCBarrows@gmail.com. Please include your phone number for a faster response and say a little about yourself and the home you would provide for her as we try to match people with the right cats.

During the pandemic, we've learned that fosters supplying short video clips of the cats to potential adopters and/or connecting via video app, and adopters making their adoption decisions based accordingly has streamlined the adoption process. We are exploring the possibility of in-person meetings as the state gradually reopens.
