Pepperoni (AKA Roni or Pepp) is black-and-white, 6-year-old sweetheart looking for his forever home.


Pepperoni loves cuddling and laying next to you while you watch TV, and he’s always head-butting you for some pets. Pepperoni will purr non-stop as long as you are paying attention to him. Pepperoni has a favorite rug in the house that he will lay on to show you he wants some pets. He likes short stints of being picked up and carried as well while he nuzzles your face. Pepperoni can be a bit reserved around new people at first, but he warms up fairly quickly in a few hours.


He enjoys birdwatching through the window and generally just observing all the happenings in the house. He loves to sit at the top of the cat tree and sunbathe. Pepperoni is fairly laidback and does not require a ton of playtime, but he does enjoy it from time to time. He will carry his favorite toy to you and meow at you to show off his prize. He likes to chase toy mice sometimes and has fun playing with wand toys.


This fluffy dude would benefit from losing a few pounds, which can be accomplished by sticking to a diet with an appropriate and measured amount of food daily. He prefers his dry food over wet food and tends to graze throughout the day. Pepperoni previously had a urinary tract obstruction, and he eats prescription urinary food to prevent any further issues. His new humans would need to be on board with providing his special diet in controlled amounts, and with helping him stay active so he can be healthy and happy. (Also, as he is a big guy, he does great with a larger litter box.)


When it’s time to relax, this friendly guy spends a lot of the day napping in his favorite spots, and he does appreciate being near his humans. He lives with other cats but does not enjoy their rough-and-tumble antics sometimes. He would prefer another cat to cuddle with or groom rather than play or wrestle. Pepperoni would also likely be fine as a solo cat.


Pepperoni previously has been exposed to dogs and can get along with them if they are respectful of his space and not too intrusive. He previously lived with a young child who was a bit too grabby for him, but he would be fine with older, cat-savvy children. He now lives with two adults (one works from home) and two resident cats. He’s an easygoing boy and will fit right in with most homes. He's happy to help you work from home, but also equally fine being left to his own devices while you are away at school or work.


He is ready to settle in with the right people who can help him stay healthy by attending to his weight and dietary needs with love and compassion. In return, you’ll get plenty of love and affection.
