Meet Pandora, also known as Panda<br/><br/>Female I 1.5-2 Years I UTD Vaccines I Dewormed I Spayed I Microchipped I FeLV/FIV Negative<br/><br/>Panda girl came into our care after our org learned about one of her kittens missing a back foot and needing assistance. The original finder assisted us in not only catching the injured baby, but Panda’s 2 other kittens and her. We had originally planned on TNVRing Panda but as soon as she was in a kennel she melted into a sweet little baby that clearly wanted the indoor life. <br/><br/>We’ve since had her in foster for 2 weeks now and have gotten an idea of her temperament. She’s very sweet and loves a heated bed. She seems to enjoy the slow tempo life and a lot of lounging. She does good with dogs and did great with her kittens but has not been tested with other cats yet, that will happen over the next few weeks. <br/><br/>She’d do great with someone looking for a companion either with her as a solo or we’d be happy to adopt her out with one of her kittens as an option too! Due to concerns about Single Kitten Syndrome (SKS), young kittens are not eligible for solo adoption unless there is already a young kitty of similar energy in the home. <br/><br/>What is Single Kitten Syndrome?<br/><br/>Single Kitten Syndrome occurs when young kittens are adopted alone. Without a feline playmate, they may develop behavioral issues such as:<br/><br/> Aggression or anxiety<br/> Inappropriate chewing or scratching<br/> Litter box avoidance<br/> Difficulty adjusting to new pets or children later in life<br/><br/>While not all single kittens experience these challenges, its a common reason cats are rehomed later. The best way to prevent SKS is to adopt kittens in pairs or ensure there is already a playful, compatible cat in the home.
