This sweet little angel was fending for herself on the streets in the neighborhood of one of our volunteers.

Oreo has been with us for 8 weeks and it’s been so much fun to see her personality grow.

She has become such a love bug and quite the talker. When Oreo wakes up, she wants to be loved and held. She talks when she needs loves, wants to play, or just wants you to be with her while she eats.

But wait, she likes to have company when she eats; if you try to walk away, she follows, she will eat by herself - but she enjoys company. And who doesn’t need a buddy while chomping on yummy food.

Her foster mom sings Oreo to sleep every night, and as she tries to tip toe and leave, she cries and taps her legs so she won’t go.

They put up three baby gates in the door so she and the resident three cats could see each other and she wouldn’t be closed off completely. After about a week, she learned to climb up all three baby gates so she could be with the family. She’s a smart little Houdini!

Oreo has no fear of the other cats. She struts around the house with her tail straight up in the air without a care in the world. There is of course the normal hissing and growling but everyone seems to respect each other.

When you see Oreo now, it’s hard to believe she was a stray cat roaming a neighborhood looking for a meal. She was a young, pregnant kitten trying to survive. It is heartwarming to see her happy and thriving.

It took her foster mom Jana months trying to catch her, endless sleepless nights, frustration, and perseverance! She never gave up even when it felt never ending. All hands-on deck to get this little trap savvy beauty.I

Oreo deserves nothing but love and we are hopeful the purrfect application comes in for her soon!

Our cats are spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, have been tested for FELV/FIV, treated with a flea preventative, have been wormed and are micro-chipped. Their $150.00 adoption fee also includes micro-chip registration, a county license for Sacramento County residents, a free office visit with a participating veterinarian, a free bag of food, free nail trimmings FOR LIFE, PetSmart coupons, assorted toys, and other complimentary items.
