Opal's Story

Sweet and loving Opal is an approximately 5 year old petite gal who truly embodies the lynx point Siamese breed, from her gorgeous coat to her loving and social personality. Now being fostered in a home with cats, dogs, and a busy family, it’s clear she can easily fit into any home environment from a quiet one to a busy one!

Opal was found in a San Jose neighborhood acting incredibly affectionate but unfortunately abandoned. A vet check revealed she had been declawed at some point in her life and has no remaining teeth, indicating she may have defanged too. It’s a mystery why anyone would do such a thing, as despite her sad past, she has been extremely friendly to strangers and a very loyal companion to anyone who will give her attention. A food connoisseur of both dry and wet foods, though Opal joined the rescue underweight, she is steadily regaining it. An overall sweetheart, any family would be lucky to call Opal theirs. So don’t hesitate and apply to adopt her today!

Opal is healthy and fixed. She has been vaccinated, microchipped, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, and treated for fleas and worms. She is litter box trained and has no behavioral issues. Opal is easily scoopable into arms and would be great for folks looking for an easy-to-handle cat, whether that’s due to being first-time cat owners, a family with young children, or just someone looking for an easygoing companion.

Opal currently exhibits no disability or effect from the declaw procedure and does not need any special medical care or treatment for her dental condition. If you have additional questions on caring for a declawed, defanged cat or general inquires regarding Opal before applying, please email us at adopt@acekittyrescue.org.
