Meet Omega
Omega came to us as part of the rescue mission of pets from Hurricane Barry in Louisiana. He was born about May of 2017.
After enduring the long journey from Louisiana to Illinois, poor Omega had to endure even more discomfort. He had ingrown eyelashes on one eye, a condition in which the eyelashes grow towards the eye instead of outward. The condition causes constant discomfort to the eye due to the eyelashes rubbing against the eye.
Omega underwent surgery in which the eyelashes are removed. He handled the whole procedure like the trouper that he is. Although his eye is still healing, he is doing well and should be completely normal before long.
Omega is a handsome fellow who seems to do just fine with other cats. He loves the attention from everyone and should do well with children seven and up who know how to interact with cats.
