Omaha's Story

Omaha: Big-Pawed Toy Chaser Who Plays Hard and Naps Even Harder

Hi, I'm Omaha! I have two speeds: full-throttle play and asleep sitting up.

I was born with my four siblings outside near a trailer park, where a kind man made sure our mom had food and helped our whole family get safely into foster care. Momma did an excellent job raising us, and I did an excellent job becoming the biggest kitten in the litter.

I take my position as big brother very seriously. I'm often the fastest one chasing a toy with everything I'e got, the first one investigating something new, and—purely by coincidence—the kitten most enthusiastically supervising the wet-food bowl. With my oversized paws, I'm on track to grow into a magnificently large fuzzy orange gentleman.

I'm brave, friendly, curious, and extremely playful. Whether theres a toy to conquer, a window to inspect, or other important kitten business happening in another room, I want/need to be involved. But once playtime is over, I will commit just as enthusiastically to relaxing. I've even been known to fall asleep while sitting up because apparently lying down requires energy I've already spent.

For all my big-kitten confidence, I'm also super sweet and a total mush. Pick me up and my tough-guy act disappears, and I become a cuddly armful of orange fluff.

My ideal home will include another playful young cat who can help me chase, wrestle, explore, and eventually collapse into a well-earned kitty nap.

If you're looking for a curious orange adventurer with big paws, a bigger personality, and absolutely no respect for staying awake, I'm your boy!

Personality traits: Affectionate, brave, curious, friendly, funny, playful, smart, energetic, food-motivated, toy lover, champion napper

Fitchburg Friends of Felines facilitates a foster to adopt program that places the intended adoptee with the potential adoptive family. Fitchburg Friends of Felines, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
Potential adopters are required to have a solid character reference, vet reference, and a site visit which can be conducted virtually. Due to MA regulations, we cannot intake pets from out of state. We offer a foster to adopt program to guarantee the intended kitty is a good fit for your family. We also require that all adopters agree to return the kitty should the adopter no longer be able to care for him or her in the future, or an agreed to person is identified to continue care for this kitty. We are not a brick and mortar; all available cats are kept in foster homes. Therefore, we would need time to schedule a visit to meet a kitty. We are happy to travel to match the perfect kitty for your family. Our adoption fees are normally $250 per cat, $350 for specialty breeds or exotics, and $50 less per kitty if interested in multiples. For specific questions, or for an adoption application, please feel free to reach out to us directly: fitchburgfriendsoffelines@gmail.com or call our hotline: 978-222-3170
