Olive Domestic Short Hair & Tabby Mix Manhattan, KS

My name is Olive! I am approximately 2 years old and looking for a quiet home that will love me just the way I am and give me the patience and space I need to learn and grow. I do get along with other cats and will play with toys when the house is quiet.
I was rescued by PPAWS from some place called a kill shelter. I was trapped and brought to the shelter by scary people, and the shelter was very scary, so I hissed at them! Because of that they were going kill me. I didn't understand what was happening and I was so scared.
My nice foster mom brought me in to her house and let me have a very safe and quiet place to rest! She was so nice to me that I finally started to relax a little. But guess what?!! I had a secret :) I was pregnant! I gave birth to 5 little kittens one day!
All of my kittens are adopted and have homes. Now I'm all along again and would love to find my own home, but I'm scared that some people won't understand me. You see, I don't like to be touched too often. I'm terrified of dogs, but I get along with my foster cat. I like to do my own thing, but will sit next to you on the couch sometimes for company. Or if you play with toys with me, that helps me feel safe, too. I just wish someone would understand that I do like to be in a house and be safe, but I don't like to feel crowded or scared.
Can you give me a chance to learn how to be a family pet and be loved? I've never had that before, but my foster mom seems very nice and her quiet house seems like a place I would like to live!
