Nova's Story

Nova~ 1.5 year old spayed female, $450 with bonded best friend Journey.

Meet Nova — wobbly queen, certified sass machine, and owner of the bluest eyes. She is mixed with Munchkin so she is tiny with stubby little legs!

Nova is a stunning tortie point with a personality that is larger than life. She's got opinions, she's got attitude, and she's not afraid to use either. She is a girl who loves pets and knows she deserves them at all times.

Nova has a bit of a wobble to her walk, which just adds to her charm and uniqueness. She gets where she's going—just with a little extra flair.

Shortly after giving birth to her kittens, Nova had a seizure which possibly caused brain trauma, causing her to be off-balanced and have head tremors (similar to a cerebellar hypoplasia cat, but her symptoms aren't nearly as severe and she was not born this way). She does really well in a quiet, calm room and would NOT do well in a loud/chaotic/active home as stimulation tends to make it harder for her to focus! We have consulted with neurologists who said the testing she would need to diagnose her condition would be very expensive and likely still couldn't give us a straight answer. Instead of spending $2500-$4000 to possibly not get an answer, due to her quality of life still being great, Nova is ready to find a home!

Nova does not enjoy being picked up or snuggled at the moment. Pets are great, thank you very much, but let's keep all four paws on the ground.

The good news? Once she settles into a calm, loving home and realizes she's safe, we fully expect her cuddly side to shine through. The sass will remain, of course. That's non-negotiable.

Nova also comes with a very important feature: her built-in emotional support bestie, Journey. These two are bonded, and Journey is Nova's number one fan, comfort provider, and professional “are you okay??” checker-inner. When Nova feels stressed, Journey is right there—and more often than not, you'll find them snuggled up together in a cozy little cubby, being adorable.

If you're looking for a cat with personality, resilience, and a little extra wobble in her step (plus a bonus best friend), Nova might just be your girl.

Apply at cokittycoalition.com to meet them in Loveland!
