Nora & Hazel (Humanitarian Adoption)'s Story

Hazel & Nora — Two gentle souls looking for a patient, loving home 🧡💛🤎🖤

Hazel and Nora are two beautiful girls with a story that deserves a soft landing. They were originally taken into our care as part of a large trap‑neuter‑release (TNR) effort, along with many other cats from a big outdoor colony. The plan was simply to sterilize them and return them — but life had something kinder in mind.

A wonderful foster stepped forward and offered to try giving these girls a chance at socialization. With patience, consistency, and a huge heart, she slowly earned their trust. Over time, Hazel and Nora began to relax. They accepted gentle pets, purred, and showed clear signs of happiness and comfort. Their foster described them as sweet, soft, and genuinely content once they felt safe.

Unfortunately, due to a sudden health issue, their foster mom could no longer care for them, and Hazel and Nora had to be transferred to a new foster home. This transition has been very hard on them. They are being given all the time, space, and respect they need to feel secure again, but it’s clear that they are struggling with the change.

Because we know these girls can flourish — because we’ve seen it — we are offering a humanitarian adoption discount in hopes of finding a kind, patient adopter who will let them bloom at their own pace. The videos included are from their first foster home, where they were relaxed, pettable, and visibly less stressed. They have so much potential when they feel safe.

🏡Ideal Home
Hazel and Nora would do best in a quiet home with gentle humans who understand that trust takes time. Other household pets may be okay if they are calm and quiet. However, we cannot be certain.

These girls don’t need perfection — they need patience, predictability, and someone who believes in them the way their first foster did. With the right home, they will rediscover that sense of safety and begin to show their true, tender personalities again.

If you have a calm home, a soft heart, and the willingness to let two deserving cats grow at their own rhythm, Hazel and Nora could be the perfect match.

🩺 Health Information:

🐾 Spayed
🐾 Microchipped
🐾 Vaccinated (FVRCP & Rabies)
🐾 Received deworming treatment

---
