Our Mission
[La version française suit] TNR La Pêche volunteer, not-for-profit. Our mission is to provide humane and essential services to manage the overpopulation of stray, abandoned, and feral cats, particularly in La Pêche. We empower residents and improve the lives of cats by providing affordable access to essential veterinary care (sterilization, vaccination, and microchipping), promoting responsible pet ownership, and educating the public. -- Notre mission est d’offrir des services essentiels et humains afin de contribuer à réduire la surpopulation de chats errants, abandonnés et féraux, particulièrement dans la région de La Pêche. Nous soutenons les résidents et contribuons au bien-être des chats en facilitant l’accès à des soins vétérinaires essentiels à coût abordable, notamment la stérilisation, la vaccination et la micropuce. Nous encourageons également la responsabilité des propriétaires d’animaux et sensibilisons la population à ces enjeux.
Adoption Policy
[La version française suit] Adopt through TNR La Pêche in 6 steps: 1. Find a cat: Visit PetFinder to see which cats and kittens are currently available. 2. Apply: Complete the adoption application at tnrlapeche.ca and tell us which cat has stolen your heart, along with a little about yourself and your home. 3. Connect with the foster family: One of our volunteers will contact you within a few days and connect you with the cat’s foster family so you can arrange a visit. 4. Meet the cat: Meet the cat in their foster home to see if you have a connection. We do not allow same-day adoptions. The cat will be reserved for you until 5 p.m. the day after your visit (for example, if you visit on Monday, the cat is reserved until Tuesday at 5 p.m.). After that, we cannot guarantee the cat will still be available. 5. Officially adopt: Email us to confirm that you wish to proceed with the adoption. Our volunteers will normally process your request within 48 hours. You’ll then receive the adoption agreement and a link to pay the adoption fee. Once we’ve confirmed receipt of both, we’ll let you and the foster family know that everything is finalized. 6. Pick up your new cat: Once everything is confirmed, arrange a pick-up time that works for you and the foster family. Congratulations! -- Adopter avec TNR La Pêche en 6 étapes : 1. Communiquez avec la famille d’accueil : Un de nos bénévoles communiquera avec vous dans les prochains jours et vous mettra en contact avec la famille d’accueil du chat afin que vous puissiez planifier une visite. 4.
