She gave birth to a litter of kittens at a neglected property where cats were fed but never spayed or neutered. Disease spread unchecked. Some cats became so ill that infections destroyed their eyes. Many sick kittens—including possibly Neve's own babies—were taken by Animal Control for desperately needed medical care. Whether her kittens survived is something we'll never know.<br/><br/>Once the kittens had been removed to safety, Lucky Cat volunteers began trapping the adult cats so they, too, could receive the care they so desperately needed. Neve was one of the first. Terrified at first, she had every reason not to trust people.
