Nelson is shy at first, but becomes super affectionate in a short time!! He just LOVES being pet. Once he knows you just want to love him, he comes around. Not so good with sudden moves or noises. So would prefer a quieter home without young kids, or lots of activity. Kids 12 and up should be ok. Nelson has recently started bonding with another foster, Sylvie. Preference will be given to home that wants both of them. He currently lives with a friendly, aloof dog and would do ok with the same. He also lives with other cats but, besides Sylvie, he pays no attention to them. Neutered, vaxed and combo negative. Fostered in Central Florida and available for adoption within most of the US. Florida Persian and Exotic Cat Rescue's Adoption Policy

WE WILL NOT ANSWER INQUIRIES ASKING IF A CERTAIN CAT IS AVAILABLE. If its listed as adoptable, then its available. If you don't see it listed, it isn't! We also will NOT be answering inquiries asking if the application was received. If you submit online and get the "Thank you for submitting" page, then we got it. 1. Complete the application, in full, and submit. Must be at least 24 yrs old. 2. Conduct a brief phone interview. 3. Home ownership or landlord approval will be verified and both personal and veterinary references contacted. 4. If adopting out of state, a zoom call to do a home check is completed. If adopting within Florida, the home visit will be done in person Please note, we are a small, all volunteer rescue. While we strive to process applications as quickly as possible, it can take up to 1-2 weeks to get through the entire process. We ask that you understand that we all have full-time jobs in addition to our dedication to the rescue; as well as families of our own and emergencies always arise.
