Meet Nala
Nala is an 8 year old social lap cat looking for her purrfect forever home!
This regal Orange princess is incredibly social and affectionate. She spends most of her time around her trusted humans and even comes to the door to greet her family. Then, she will make sure she gets some love and pets. When her fosters are settled on the couch with a book or show, Nala climbs on their chest, lays down, and purrs and purrs and purrs, and then purrs some more. This couch potato enjoys long durations of lap time - even up to 1-2 hours - and will hop down when her fosters are ready to get up.
Nala enjoys the occasional playtime with her favorite wand toy but is a lounger at heart. She enjoys high spots to survey her domain and ideally take in quality cat tv. A cat tower or other high perches are a must in her forever castle. Nala is a wonderful companion who likes to share her thoughts and feelings through a steady stream of conversation. A quiet cat she is not :)
This gorgeous ginger has a spicy side to complement her snuggly persona. She will nip and swat when feeling scared or threatened and for this reason Nala requires a kid-free home and a family that is cat-savvy and willing to learn and respect her cues. She will need a long decompression period and lots of patience as she takes time to settle in and reveal her best self. Nala gets along well with both cats and dogs that have a similarly chill energy level as her own. She even had a doggie BFF in a previous home.
Nala's ideal home will be a quiet, stable and predictable kid-free environment. She would do well as a solo cat if her people are frequently accessible but would likely be happiest with a family featuring a calm four-legged companion or two and people who have lots of time to be home (retired or working from home) to make their lap available for her use.
