Mr. CoCo's Story

Mr CoCo: Born 06/18/2022, Male, Fawn and White Persian
Adoption Fee: $600

Fostered by Harriet in Santa Cruz, Ca.
Contact Harriet at email: harrietluvskitties@yahoo.com if you have additional questions. If you are interested in adopting this cat, please fill out an Adoption Application, which can be found at https://purebredsplus.org/Our Cats .

This wonderful kitty has an unusual story. Surrendered to a shelter by the " owner" the Shelter contacted me immediately to ask if I was interested? I said Yes Of course! I am a big Persian lover; they are my favorite breed. I asked if the Shelter could spay her for me. They said no, so a transporter brought her to me on day three.
When we met him, we were entirely thrilled with what a friendly, beautiful loving kitty she was. We were lucky to get a spay appointment a week later. The vet checked and found no spay scar so they made their incision to get the job done. To their surprise they found she had no appropriate equipment at all. Oops! So now Coco is known as Mr. Coco. He was evidently neutered very young since his "ball sack "was so flat and empty. They closed him up and gave me the news. He's so pretty everyone thought he was a sweet little soft girl kitty. Now we are readjusting our eyes and saying Well yes, he does look like a boy. He's still the same very affectionate confident social happy kitty he was when he arrived.

This doesn't really matter, but it makes me think about his history. I was thinking maybe his owner had passed away and relatives from far away came to tidy up his or her home. They I told the Shelter he was a four-year-old female so I wondered since he's a male whether the four-year-old part was wrong also. His teeth look very young, but they have a little color on them so I think the 4 yrs old is correct.

He's very playful and confident. I think he's had a good life. We did a little grooming for him when he arrived. He had a few mats to be removed-maybe what would develop in one to two months of summer. He likes all kinds of attention and that includes grooming. He's a delightfully easy cat in all ways. He uses his box. seems to eat everything, gets along with everyone and is friendly to other cats. He has no medical problems. He had his vaccinations and worming and flea meds and vitamins. We've all fallen really hard for him. I'm sure in his new home he will run to the front door when the bell rings. He's very social and involved in everything. He is very much a companion to a human or humans. I've never seen him around a respectful dog but I would expect him to be comfortable and probably in charge.

If you are an experienced Persian cat owner and love them to pieces you might be just the home for this sweet boy. As you probably know Persians need extra love and care from their families. Mr. CoCo needs someone who's around the home most of the time because a Persian's heart is with his Persons. If I had space, I would keep him in a flash.

Some family will be very lucky to have his loving company. I'm sure he'll sleep with you and purr in the dark of night and in this difficult world, what could be better? He let me know he'd like to have a new name if you can think of one for him.

Mr CoCo is: Neutered/Spayed, Vaccinated, FELV Tested, Dewormed, Microchipped, Wet Food, Dry Food, Litter Box Perfect

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats (like me) with qualified adopters who will cherish me and create an ideal forever home.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone's best interests!

Purebreds Plus cat Rescue (purebredsplus.org), serving Northern California, the San Francisco Bay Area, Oregon, and Northern Nevada, is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of purebred cats, kittens and other exceptional felines. We are a 501 (c)3 non-profit rescue group. Most of our beautiful felines come from Northern California Animal Shelters. One of our goals is to keep purebred cats from ever ending up in a shelter. We are happy to help you if you need to rehome your purebred cat. Often, we can offer advice if your cat is having behavioral problems, and you may end up keeping the cat. We do NOT ship cats. We will place cats out of area but you must arrange to come and meet your new friend in person.
