Morticia's Story

Morticia is a beautiful ~1.5-2 year old Domestic Short Hair with a quiet, mysterious charm. Once a stray who lingered near a local school, she was humanely trapped while pregnant and brought to safety just in time to welcome and raise her kittens. Now that all of her babies have found loving homes, it's finally Morticia's turn.

Morticia is not the kind of cat who will demand attention right away--but for the right person, that's part of her magic. She prefers to take things at her own pace and will need a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time. Given the space and kindness she deserves, Morticia has the potential to blossom into a loyal companion in her own unique way.

She may also be a wonderful candidate for a barn home, where she can enjoy a safe environment while maintaining some independence. Proper acclimation will be important to help her understand where she belongs and feel secure.

If you're someone who appreciates a more independent spirit and is willing to give Morticia the time she needs to shine, she could be the perfect addition to your life.

To meet Morticia, please call the shelter to schedule an appointment: 928-636-4223, ext. 7
