Moro's Story

Meet Moro!

Moros beautiful eyes tell the story of her journey. A severe eye infection left her with permanent corneal scars, giving her eyes a cloudy appearance. Even though her vision is back in her right eye and she is fully blind on her left eye, she navigates the world just like any other playful kitten. These special eyes are simply part of what makes Moro so unique.

If you are interested in our kittens and would like to arrange the meet and greet at fosters homes, please complete the adoption application using the following link (copy & paste it into your browser) https://form.jotform.com/82828565257166
or text us for more info at (908) 986-2505
Our cats and kittens are allowed to be adopted anywhere in NYC/NJ/Long Island.
Please note, all our kittens under 6 months old are available in pairs only or to the home with another cat/cat friendly dog. Bonded pairs will not be split up.

Moro came to our rescue alongside her two siblings after we received a call from a homeowner who had spotted the kittens in her backyard. Normally, when kittens are found outdoors, we ask homeowners to leave food out, observe from a distance, and let us know if the mother cat returns.

What immediately concerned us was that while Mononoke (her sister) happily played with leaves and explored her surroundings, her two siblings appeared confused and remained in the exact same spots for hours. When one of our volunteers arrived to assess the situation, our fears were confirmed - both kittens appeared to be completely blind.

The volunteer quickly secured all three kittens and waited to trap their mother. Once the family was safely together, they were brought to one of our foster homes. Mom was later spayed, vaccinated, and returned to the yard where she had been living and cared for alongside her feline friends.

Rollie and his sister Moro were fighting for their lives. We are incredibly grateful that the homeowner contacted us as soon as she noticed them.

Today, Moro is a happy, healthy, and incredibly affectionate little girl. She is full of kitten energy, loves attention, and has never met a stranger. Raised in a foster home with a toddler, she has received plenty of love and socialization and is wonderfully comfortable around people.

We would love to see Moro adopted with one of her siblings (please see Mononoke and Rollie listing!), but she can also be adopted into a home with another young, playful pet she can bond with. She may also be paired with any of the other kittens currently available through our rescue.

If you're looking for a sweet, playful, and loving companion, Moro may be the perfect addition to your family!
