Morgan's Story

Do you like pancakes? How about cats that pretend to be pancakes when you look at them? If so, Morgan is the cat for you! Morgan, her three siblings, and her mom were living in an abandoned building and were so hungry that they were all trapped within 40 minutes.

Morgan is very shy with humans but easy to handle once you catch her. Morgan is a very athletic cat who loves to run on her cat wheel, chase her brother, Crescent, and effortlessly leap from cat shelf to cat shelf in an attempt to get away from her foster mom. Morgan also loves to cuddle and sometimes wrestle with her friend, Zoey. Morgan has mastered the airplane ears and can flatten like a pancake in a flash when a human enters the foster room. Morgan loves wet food and will come down from her perch to beg for her wet food dinner.

Morgan is a beautiful cat who would be a great friend for a confident, active kitty and will require a home with another cat. Morgan doesn't seem to mind the dogs in her foster home. She really needs an adopter who is committed to going slow with her, starting her out in one small room, and giving her time to adjust. We feel she would do best in a calm, adult-only home but might do well with older, cat savvy children who will give her space.

Morgan is a little over 1.5 years old. She has been spayed, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested FIV/FeLV-. Are you looking for a friend for your cat and someone to judge you? Apply to adopt Morgan now!

Trash Cat Rescue's Adoption Policy
Typically the potential adopter reaches out either with or without a specific cat in mind. We will usually ask questions about the type of cat the adopter is interested in (any preferences as far as gender, color, personality, etc.), as well as the sort of home the cat would be going to (any kids, other pets, etc.). If we have a cat or kitten who would be a good fit, the adopter can fill out our application for that animal. If not, the person can still fill out the app, and we will keep them if mind if we end up with a cat who we think would be a good fit. Once the app is reviewed/approved (including checking vet and landlord references), we would chat any further with the adopter if needed, and then schedule a meet and greet with them with the cat or kitten. If the animal and the adopter hit it off, the adopter would then fill out our adoption agreement, pay the adoption fee, and take the cat or kitten home!
