Moose's Story

Meet Moose!

Moose is a beautiful gray kitten with soft hints of brown in her coat and the fluffiest fox-like tail you’ve ever seen. She has a gentle, sensitive soul and is looking for a patient family that will let her blossom at her own pace.

While Moose can be shy around new people and may initially keep her distance, she is making wonderful progress every day. Once she feels safe, her sweet personality begins to shine. She enjoys gentle head scratches, loves being brushed, and rewards trusted people with the softest purrs.

Moose is also very food motivated, which has helped her gain confidence and learn that people can bring wonderful things. She enjoys relaxing on her cat tree, quietly observing her surroundings, and playing with toys with her human or on her own.

A confident resident cat may help her continue building confidence. Moose would do best in a calm home that understands that some of the most rewarding cats are the ones who need a little extra time to open their hearts. Watching her confidence grow and earning her trust is incredibly special.

Moose’s favorite things:
-Gentle head and neck scratches
-Being brushed with a soft cat brush
-Tasty treats and mealtime
-Cozy cat tree naps and quiet observation

If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle kitten and are willing to give her a little patience and love, Moose will reward you with a truly special bond.

Do you have questions about this animal or are you ready to take the next step to adoption? Pleasanton Valley Humane Society's Adoption Policy
How It Works Potential adopters can read an animal’s profile to determine if the pet would be a good fit for their home and lifestyle. Copy and paste the application URL from the animal’s profile or click to apply. Once the application is received, an adoption counselor will call to discuss the match. Be ready to answer the call from Valley Humane as soon as your application is submitted. Animals shown on our website are ready to go home. We typically schedule an adoption appointment within 24-48 hours of approving an application where you can meet the pet and complete paperwork. Once you’ve decided a pet is the right fit for your family, the adoption counselor will walk you through our adoption agreement. All pertinent medical information will be provided to you, as well as a take-home packet including information on feeding your new pet. We will also verify that the animals’ microchip is accurate and prepare them for travel. Finally, we will collect the adoption fee. Please allow approximately one hour to complete the adoption process. After taking a quick picture to share on social media (optional, of course!), you’re ready to head home and start enjoying life with your new friend
