Meet Monroe

Monroe – Available for Adoption

Monroe was rescued from the city streets by one of his feeders in March. He was fixed & vetted and cleaned himself up as he was a matted mess when he first arrived. As you can see by the photos, he’s now a very handsome boy. He also comes with some baggage that he acquired from living out on the streets for so long. He is unpredictable. He has lashed out to his foster or visitors to the point that he has scratched, bit & drawn blood. He is now on trazadone and so far it has helped him drastically that we have decided he is worthy for another shot at finding a forever home.

At present he is in a foster home with other cats and kittens. He loves the kittens but he can get over-stimulated and plays too rough. So he has to spend most of the time alone in a separate room. He needs a quiet home … one with no other pets, no kids, no multiple roommates… just a home where he can be your one & only and get all the attention. He also needs a cat savvy person who can read his cues. We truly believe with a better setting he can become an even better Monroe. If you are unable to commit to an adoption, could you be a foster home for him?

Window watching is a favorite past time. He loves his cat dancer wand and enjoys playing with the turbo track toy. He loves a good chase with a mouse toy or ping pong ball. He is very content playing by himself or with his human. Giving him his daily pill is fast & easy as he inhales the pill pocket before breakfast.

Monroe is approximately 3 years old, neutered, up-to-date on all his shots, negative for FeLV, yet positive for FIV. If you are interested in meeting him, contact Boston's Forgotten Felines on Facebook or at catadoptions@bostonsforgottenfelines.org! Please share far & wide so we can find his purr’fect home!
