Molly's Story
Introducing MOLLY! This adorable 6 year old Persian female cat who was a breeders queen for
most of her life. Once she got too old
the breeder allowed her to be adopted along with her son who she has lived with since. Molly is currently in foster care in Northern NJ.

Unfortunately Molly was surrendered by her owner when she could no longer take care of her for medical reasons. Molly is a sweet, docile lady who loves her people and gets along with other cats! Unfortunately, because she is so sweet she is bullied easily by other cats. The current foster home has 3 additional cats and one that continue to bully her. This leads to her needing to be isolated alone so she can feel at ease but she has become quite lonely and this is why we would like to find her a home! Her new home should either have no other pets, or have docile
non-aggressive cats! We do not know if she can live with a dog or not.

Molly has unfortunately responded to the stress of being bullied by having accidents outside the litter box. This is not uncommon in a cat on cat bully situation because the bullied cat is fearful that they will be ambushed while in using the litter box. This is why she is now in her own room without run of the home, making her depressed.

Ideally Mollys new adopter should have experience with Persians and has the time to devote to helping Molly adjust, ensuring successful integration to the new home!

MOLLY has been thoroughly vetted prior to adoption including spay/neuter surgery, fully vaccinated (rabies and distemper), blood tested negative for FIV and FLeV, microchipped and treated for all parasites. She is healthy and has no medical conditions at this time.

To be considered as an adopter you MUST submit an application!

https://savingfancycats.org/adoption-application

THE APPLICATION and YOUR INFORMATION IS 100% CONFIDENTIAL.

We read every application that is submitted and it can take us 2-4 days to respond to most applicants. If we believe you may be a potential match for the cat(s) we will respond to you via email. This email will detail all the next steps required in order for you to be officially approved as an adopter.

Our email response can easily be flagged as spam/junk so please check those folders for our response.

We will ask all potential adopters who pass the first step to submit/complete the following;
-2+ personal references
-1+ veterinary reference
-home interior photos/videos or in person tour
-your building's pet policy from management or your landlord (if you rent)
-1+ alternative designated caretaker(s) for the cat(s)
-scheduled phone interview with a member of our team

*General inquiries about a cat to us via phone or email cannot be responded to without an application submitted first. If the cat is on petfinder.com the cat is still available.

Adoption fee $450
is non-negotiable.

What the (tax deductible) adoption fee/donation covers:

Spay/Neuter surgery
Full vaccinations (2 x distemper/FVRCP and feline rabies)
Blood Tests - FIV, FLeV, Heartworm, in some cases additional blood work
Anti-Parasitics - all cats are dewormed, treated for fleas/ticks, ear mites.
Microchipped - All cats have a registered microchip

**You may see our cats posted on petfinder elsewhere, or other adoption sites with our rescue partners! We are working together to find a great home for Morty and sometimes it takes more than one rescue to get this done. If the cat is still on petfinder.com he is available but all potential adopters will be notified if this status changes.

***Can't adopt right now? Please consider sponsoring one or more of the cats on our petfinder page so that we can assist our rescue partners with food and litter and proper veterinary care.
