Description: Update: Mohawk definitely has improved her social skills. She will not seek out the attention, but she will definitely accept it. You will find her in her favorite spot in the top tier of the cat tree. Grab a step stool and dive in for giving Mohawk love and attention. She often buries her head downward with her butt in the air while you pet her. Mohawk loves treats so be sure to bring some along when you meet her. She is a very subdued kitty but appreciates human kindness. She has been affectionately nicknamed Momo and she responds to it.

Mohawk arrived almost two years ago with her mother and two other siblings and has figured that the shelter has become her home. They've all been adopted, and Mohawk is the last of that group still here at the shelter. Mohawk is now almost 2 years old. She spent her kittenhood at the shelter. It's time for her to get a real home. She is going to take a lot of time to adjust as this is the ONLY home she has EVER known. Whispering affirmations to her won't hurt either.
You have to meet Mohawk at her level of comfort because she just won't seek you out, unless you have treats. Mohawk does okay with other cats.
