Moe Domestic Short Hair Melrose, MA

Three-year-old Moe is a striking grey tabby boy who was one of over 20 cats taken out of a hoarding situation. They'd belonged to an elderly woman who suffered from severe dementia.

Losing the only home one had ever known, even one like that, can be disorienting for a cat, and it took a while for Moe to figure things out. Thanks to the patience of his foster family, Moe's warm, affectionate personality has emerged to the point at which he even eats treats out of their hands. He seems frightened by loud noises, so a quiet, stable environment would be best for him. He also seems rather keen on making friends with the other cats in his foster home, so we think he'd be an second cat for someone looking for an additional feline companion.

He has been:
- neutered
- vaccinated
- tested negative for FIV and FeLV.
- treated for worms and fleas

His adopter will receive his medical records. There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee so we can continue to help cats in need. He is being fostered in North Andover.

Cats can live up to 20 years, so give careful thought to the changes that are likely to occur in your life during that time. In lieu of in-person adoptions, for the safety of all concerned, due to COVID 19, fosters are supplying short video clips of the cats to potential adopters and/or connecting via Facetime, Skype, or other video app, and adopters are making their adoption decisions based on that. This has actually streamlined the adoption process and has been going very well.
