Meet Mishka 🤍<br/><br/>Mishka — whose name means “little mouse” — is a gentle senior boy estimated to be 15–20 years old who is searching for a peaceful forever home to spend his golden years.<br/><br/>Mishka came to Lavender’s Legacy Cat Rescue after his beloved dad had to move into assisted living and could no longer care for him. It was a heartbreaking decision made out of love, and we promised to help Mishka find a safe, quiet place where he can be cherished for the rest of his life.<br/><br/>Despite all the changes in his world, Mishka remains incredibly sweet and affectionate. He loves quiet company, soft places to nap, and gentle pets. He has the kind of calm, comforting presence that only a senior cat can bring. Mishka is the type of cat who will happily sit beside you and simply enjoy being near his person.<br/><br/>Recently, Mishka had a full veterinary workup where we learned that he has kidney disease, a heart murmur, and dental disease. Because of his heart murmur and kidney condition, anesthesia would be very risky, which means a dental procedure is not recommended for him. His kidney disease will need to be managed with supportive care and regular veterinary monitoring to keep him as comfortable as possible.<br/><br/>While Mishka does have medical needs, what he really wants most is a loving, quiet home where he can feel safe and cherished.
