Mikey's Story

Mikey came to use with his siblings and feral mama as a young kitten. We have been working on them since intake in September 2025, but they are still extremely shy. We would love to find a home that would be willing to take on all 3 siblings (Mikey,Loomis and Lucy) to help each other feel more comfortable with their surroundings. They are extremely playful, good with other cats, have been around dogs and young kids, but they would do better with other cats only and older kids. Mikey is the shyest of the 3, but he is approaching people more and more with curiosity and we know he just wants to be loved, but needs to build a trust. We would be willing to adopt single with the right person and situation.

The Cat's Sass Rescue's Adoption Policy
We begin by informing possible adopters to head to our website to see the cats that are available for adoption. If any catch tehir eye, they fill out an adoption application, which lets us know what cat or cats they are interested in, and tells us all about their household (is it busy or quiet, do they have young kids,, other cats or dogs, etc). Once we determine they would be a good match (not al cats are a good fit for all households and we want the best fit for our cats), we arrange a meet and greet at our Catty Shack (a barn building renovated into a temporary housing facility for up to 20 cats, but it is not open to the public, it is on private land). If they seem to get along at the meet and greet, we will do a trial adoption, and after 7-10 days we will reach out and chat about how things are going, any concerns they have, or if they are happy. If they are happy and want to adopt, we will finalize the adoption process and they will sign an adoption contract and pay the adoption fee.
