Merlot's Story

Merlot was the sole kitten trapped with her mama, a feral. At 5 weeks, she came to foster care, her first night without her mother. There were a few rough days because, like all kittens born outside, she had some tummy issues, but she didn't let that stop her from exploring her new home. Within a few days she was feeling much better and showed her spunky self. Merlot looks up to her big foster brother Magnum, who seems to adore her. The two of them wrestle and chase each other, then settle down for naps, or at least Merlot naps.
Merlot is also learning to be affectionate. She will cuddle up to your neck and sniff you. She has some of the prettiest markings in a tortie. We're not sure, but we suspect she might turn out to be long haired, but she may just be really fluffy now.
Merlot will be spayed, vaccinated, tested, and microchipped in mid November. She is available for pre-surgery adoption to the right home. Preference is given to adopters who want to take her and her foster brother Magnum or to homes with another young kitten or cat.
