Merle's Story

Merle (M, gray tabby) is one of the sweet siblings from a five-kitten litter who have spent the last several months growing up in foster care while overcoming some health challenges together.

Merle is the snuggler of the pair and a total mama’s boy. He loves being close to his people, and if you’re sitting down, there’s a good chance he’ll find his way into your lap or curl up right beside you. He’s gentle and affectionate until his inner chaos gremlin comes out! Then he’s off zooming around the house, chasing toys, wrestling with Tammy, and keeping everyone entertained.

Merle must go to a home with a friendly resident cat or adopted with any other cat from our rescue so he can continue having a feline companion. Preference to who would like to adopt him with his sister Tammy.
The adoption fee is $200 and we offer a $25 discount for any two cats adopted together.

Merle is neutered, up to date on vaccines, litter box trained, and FIV/FeLV negative. He's being fostered in Highland Park, NJ

Artemis Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
ADOPTION PROCESS If you're interested in adopting, please complete our Adoption Interest Form when submitting your inquiry. Once we receive your application, we'll contact you to schedule a visit to meet the cat(s) at our rescue. KITTEN ADOPTION POLICY Kittens under 10 months of age must be adopted with another kitten or young cat, or go to a home that already has a playful, feline companion. We do NOT adopt out single kittens unless there is another active cat already in the home. Cats 10 months and older may be adopted as solo pets, depending on their individual personality and needs. If you're looking to adopt just one cat and don't currently have another feline at home, we encourage you to inquire about our older kittens or adult cats who are happy as the only cat in the household. FINALIZING THE ADOPTION Once you've chosen your new family member(s), you'll complete an adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. If you have any questions, please email us at info@artemisanimalrescue.com. We look forward to helping you find your perfect feline companion!
