Meet Melanie (NEEDS A SPECIAL HOME)
Meet Melanie!!
Melanie is a very special girl! She is the only survivor her her siblings (a big litter of 7!) She was the last kitten to be born and is a little fighter (see her baby picture) Melanie was born with Cerebellar Hypoplasia. This syndrome affects fine moter skills, balence and coordination. This means they can be wobbly and off balence. This is something she will always have. The condition is not painful or contagious to other cats. It really doesn't require anything major other then some precautions around the house to keep her safe. Melanie doesn't know she is diffrent and sure doesn't let her diffrences hold her back! She will need a family who will love her and give her TLC despite these diffrences.
Melanie was unfortunately returned to us due to changes in her family dynamic that were stressing her out. We have learned Melanie would do best in a quieter home with less activity going on. She can co-exist fine with other calm cats and is currently in foster with three others. Her foster mom has nick named her wobbles because she wobbles around the house, but it doesn’t phase her. Melanie enjoys pets and playtime when she is in the mood and will let you know when she needs a break.
