Maple Domestic Short Hair & Torbie Mix Onalaska, WI

***Maple is experiencing an Extended Stay at the shelter. So, in hopes of helping her find her forever home sooner her adoption fee has been reduced by 50% to only $50!

Maple is a 6 month old spayed female. She is current on her vaccinations and microchipped!

Maple is a kitten as sweet as syrup. She takes some time and patience to warm up to you - but look out once she does! She loves pets once she's comfortable and will roll around wanting more while purring and staring at you with her pretty goldish green eyes. Initially, she will play a hide and seek game, as she can be shy around new people. You'll need to gain her trust and love with some yummy treats, love, and time.

Maple loves wand and mice toys, and her favorite spot to sleep is in her hammock or in her cat tree. She likes to play with the other cats and warms up to them very quickly. She is also warming up more and more to the cat savvy dogs in her foster home too!

Because Maple can be quite timid, she is required to go to a home with another cat to help boost her confidence, or to be adopted with another kitty. She would do best with kids 10 years and older as she does startle easily and can be timid.

"Maple is a very sweet kitten who loves her feline friends. Although she has made lots of progress in her foster home, she is still very hesitant about being touched or being approached quickly. When Maple does let her foster pet her and hold her, she is full of purrs and rolls around enjoying every second of it, so perhaps one day she will look forward to the comfort humans bring.

She loves to play with wand toys, and interactive cat toys. For breakfast she will sit patiently (and do a little chirp) when it’s time for her soft food.

This beautiful girl will require another cat in her home, as they offer her much comfort and companionship. She relies on her friends to help build her confidence and show her that the world is not a scary place. Maple will also need someone who is comfortable knowing she may never be a lap cat but will never stop making her the best kitty she can be. "
