Meet Major

Introducing Major! Major is a young senior cat that was recently rescued by Mary's Kitty Korner from the streets of Waterbury, CT. He is a gentle soul who was being picked on by other homeless cats and the feral cats.

Major is about 8-9 years old but is very spry and healthy! Due to neglect he had to have all of his teeth removed except two in the front but that doesn't stop him from eating! He loves his food :)

He settled in his foster home very very quickly after having his dental surgery. within a day or two he was sleeping ON his foster mom! He LOVES to curl up with his person and will glue himself to your side when you are sleep or sit in a chair. He climbs up on your chest to your neck area to go to sleep. He also likes to roll over and have his tummy rubbed and he will gently grab your hands to play.

Major just wants to be loved and is looking for a warm, loving and save forever home where he find a nice window seat to watch the birds and snuggle with his new family.

He is a lovely gray but has a small white patch on his chest.

He is currently being fostered with a cat-friendly dog and two other senior cats (both males) and he gets along with all. If the other cats get too playful or in his face he may hiss initially but then settles in. He had to defend himself so much on the streets he needs time to realize other cats in a home won't hurt him. within a few days he was eating side by side with his new foster siblings.

We don't know how he would be with children but based on his personality we think he'd be fine with older children who are respectful of animals.

He has been using the litterbox without issue since the moment he went to his foster home! While he was found living on the streets he was clearly someone's pet at one point in his life.

Major is being fostered in Farmington Valley in Connecticut. Don't wait to fill out an application as this lovely cat is looking for his forever home!
