I am Maggie, the sweetest 9 yr old Scottish Fold. I love to lay around the house, soak up the sun, and being brushed. Although my hair is on the short side and does not need to be brushed, I really enjoy it. My favorite things are to be petted, and giving you head butts. I don't play a whole lot due to muscle loss on my back leg. I will require medicine for the rest of my life. Due to this, It’s not easy for me to jump up on things or to play a lot. I am not very active since I am in some pain. For these reasons, I am looking for a home with maybe an older cat, single story house (no stairs), and no young children. If you have any of these, please do not apply. I am a couch and bed kitty. I find those the comfiest next to my humans or in a nice sunny spot.

A girl does not like to talk about her weight, but I am currently 14 lbs and should lose a bit more weight, this will help me get around better with my bad leg (s). My fosters vet believe I was larger, since my belly hangs and flaps adorably when I walk. It's hard for me to lose weight since I am not very active and I love my food. My medicines are yucky so I like to get a treat between my two doses, twice a day. Overall, I am a healthy sweet girl who just had a vet check and dental (one K9 removed). If you are looking for a forever girl that is very sweet, mellow, and faithful to her humans, I am your girl.

My foster mom says I am spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eat wet and dry food, and litterbox perfect. They say that's good!

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats (like me) with qualified adopters who will cherish me and create an ideal forever home.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone's best interests!

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue (purebredsplus.org), serving Northern California, the San Francisco Bay Area, and Northern Nevada, is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of purebred cats, kittens and other exceptional felines. We are a 501 (c)3 non-profit rescue group. Most of our beautiful felines come from Northern California Animal Shelters. One of our goals is to keep purebred cats from ever ending up in a shelter. We are happy to help you if you need to rehome your purebred cat. Often, we can offer advice if your cat is having behavioral problems, and you may end up keeping the cat. We do NOT ship cats. We will place cats out of area but you must arrange to come and meet your new friend in person.
