MAGGIE - calm & sweet

Meet MAMA (also known as Maggie)!<br/><br/>She is estimated to be about 3-3.5 years old and our best guess on weight is around 10 lbs (yes, we know she needs to lose a few el beees!).<br/><br/>Maggie is a very sweet cat who loves human touch! She is easy to handle and enjoys belly rubs (see video). She is a trusting and loving cat. Her name became Mama as, before she was spayed, she gave birth to many kittens in the neighborhood. We didn't want her to live a life of baby making and we didn't want her babies to have a bad fate (several of them were hit by cars) so we got her spayed and vetted and she's ready to jet!<br/><br/>Maggie has a regal look and motherly personality; confident and sweet, yet with an independent flair - she has a very balanced personality! <br/><br/>She can be a little talker which cracks us up. When she's hungry, she will meow excitedly for food.<br/><br/>Given Maggies nice and gentle personality, we think Maggie would be fine with dogs in the home that like cats. She is also fine with any cats shes met!<br/><br/>Maggie was born a stray in Puerto Rico and has been looked after for a couple of years and medically cared for by a wonderful and trusted independent rescuer that we work with! She is now in boarding at a vet so that she is safe and no longer on the street. She will remain there until she finds her forever home! The vets LOVE her and say shes their favorite kitty at the vets office. She has been so sweet that she had full privileges to roam the office :)<br/><br/>PLEASE NOTE: Maggie is currently in Puerto Rico and will fly to her forever home once adopted. Adoption fees listed here ($275) cover all transport related costs to the States. There are NO other fees. :)<br/><br/>We can arrange transport to many places throughout the U.S., including JFK/EWR/PHL/BWI/IAD/DCA and more! Any questions?
