Lutz C11252's Story

Lutz would like everyone to know that he is a very independent kitten. He would also like everyone to know that dinner should be served promptly, he has several important stories to tell you, and your blanket, ear lobes, and husband's beard are apparently excellent places to make biscuits. So perhaps "independent" is a relative term.

Lutz is a playful, curious little guy who loves being part of the household action. He's always ready for a good game of chase, especially with his brother Axel, and the two of them can turn just about anywhere into their own personal wrestling arena. He also loves ping pong balls, cotton balls, Q-tips, playing with the resident cats, and occasionally finding ways to mess with the dogs.

When the day's adventures are over, Lutz is perfectly happy to settle down for some serious kitten relaxation. He loves curling up with his siblings and has a particularly adorable habit of making biscuits and snuggling into soft blankets at bedtime. He's affectionate and sweet, but he's also perfectly capable of entertaining himself and doesn't need to be the center of attention every minute.

Lutz is wonderfully social and does great with kids, dogs, and other cats. He'd love to have another feline friend in his forever home, especially one who enjoys a good wrestling match. And if that friend happened to be Axel, well... Lutz certainly wouldn't complain!

He's also doing beautifully with his house skills. Lutz is fully litter box trained and uses multiple types of litter and boxes without complaint. He's primarily a dry-food guy but considers his daily serving of wet food absolutely essential. If dinner is late, he will be happy to file a formal complaint-loudly.

And while Lutz proudly wears the title of Mr. Independent, he definitely isn't aloof. He loves being around his people and has plenty to say. He's a chatty little guy who will follow you around, tell you all about his day, and make sure you're aware of anything he finds particularly interesting.

Lutz is the perfect combination of playful, social, curious, independent, and just plain entertaining. He'll happily do his own thing, then curl up with his siblings when the day is done-and he'll make sure you know when it's time for dinner.
----
Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats' emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of "Single Kitten Syndrome" (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten's most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.
