Lobster Roll's Story
Meet Lobster Roll

Female | 5 months | UTD Vaccines | Dewormed | Spayed | Microchipped | FeLV/FIV Negative

Lobster Roll was found at a fellow rescuer’s cat colony with severe injuries to her front leg. While we aren’t certain what happened, veterinarians determined that she had significant, irreparable nerve damage and her leg was a hindrance to her mobility. For her comfort and safety, the leg was removed—and she hasn’t looked back since!

Don’t let Lobster’s loss of a leg fool you—she runs around like a little speed demon! She loves people and thrives on attention, greeting you with the funniest little chirps that will melt your heart. Toys? She’s obsessed! Playtime is her favorite, and she’ll happily entertain herself or join in interactive games.

Lobster Roll is still learning to navigate life on three legs, but she’s doing wonderfully and won’t need any special accommodations. She’s resilient, affectionate, and ready to bring joy to her forever home. If you’re looking for a sweet, spirited companion who will keep you smiling, Lobster Roll is your girl!

Lobster is slow to warm up to other kitties and is eligible for adoption into a single cat home.

For more adorable photos and videos of our adoptable cats and kittens, follow our co-founders on Instagram: @deejandthecats & @floofandtoebeans
___

Interested in Adopting?

Complete our Adoption Application on our Profile Page (click the “Visit Our Profile Page” button below). We do not evaluate inquiries.

Please read below before applying:

We do not adopt on a first-come, first-served basis. Our priority is finding the best match for each cat or kitten. Applicants interested in adopting a pair of kittens are typically given higher priority. Due to concerns about Single Kitten Syndrome (SKS), young kittens are not eligible for solo adoption unless there is already a young kitty of similar energy in the home.

What is Single Kitten Syndrome?

Single Kitten Syndrome occurs when young kittens are adopted alone. Without a feline playmate, they may develop behavioral issues such as:

• Aggression or anxiety
• Inappropriate chewing or scratching
• Litter box avoidance
• Difficulty adjusting to new pets or children later in life

While not all single kittens experience these challenges, it’s a common reason cats are rehomed later. The best way to prevent SKS is to adopt kittens in pairs or ensure there’s already a playful, compatible cat in the home.
