Lincoln, Talkative Boy

*Lincoln's Special Needs*: Lincoln tested positive for FIV. He originally came to us as an intact stray and likely got bitten by another intact male. FIV cats can live long, healthy lives, and they can live with non FIV positive cats. FIV is only spread through deep bite wounds. We have seen Lincoln interact with other cats here and he was not aggressive towards them at all. He is now neutered. Due to this, his adoption fee has been waived. <br/><br/>Meet our sweet and talkative boy named Lincoln! Lincoln came to our shelter after a resident found him wandering outside, and they noticed he appeared to be sick. They called us asking for help. We were able to get Lincoln to our vet and have him treated for an upper respiratory infection. While in our vet's care, everyone noticed how friendly Lincoln was. Due to this and no one coming to claim him as their own, he is now looking for a forever family! Lincoln is a nice boy who likes to explore. He absolutely loves food and will meow longingly when it is meal time. He is only a fan of clay type litter and does not like pellet litter. Lincoln is fine being picked up and moved. Although he is FIV positive, he has shown to be friendly with other cats and he has not tried fighting with anyone. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal.<br/>Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal.<br/><br/>An approved application does not guarantee an adoption.
