Lilo's Story

Meet Lilo: tiny panther, full-time chaos goblin, professional purr machine.

Lilo is approximately 9 months old, weighs just 6 pounds, and is proof that pure chaos can come in a sleek black kitten package. She's a sleek little black panther, although purists may note a few tiny white spots that technically make her a tuxedo. Lilo would like everyone to know she prefers the term "formal wear."

Important upfront honesty: Lilo has a liver shunt and takes inexpensive medication twice a day, every day, to stay healthy. She is super easy to medicate—but this is not optional care or a “the teenager will remember” situation. Missed meds can quickly become a medical emergency.

Now that the serious stuff is out of the way...

You would NEVER guess this kitten has medical needs.

Lilo tears through the house doing Tokyo Drifts around corners, explores everything like a fearless tiny explorer, and has somehow charmed both our resident black cat Inky (who denies this) and her beloved gruncle Slurpee.

She absolutely adores the enclosed catio and will happily spend hours out there supervising the world. Hot summer day? Perfect. Late evening? Excellent. Her only objection is rain, which she considers a personal insult.

Despite weighing only 6 pounds, Lilo is completely unimpressed by the large dogs in her foster home. She approaches life with the confidence of a kitten who is absolutely certain that everyone she meets will be delighted to know her.

She wakes up purring. Eats while purring. Sometimes even purrs in her sleep.

She alternates between “tiny house kraken” and “champion napper,” with very little middle ground.

Lilo doesn't need pity. She needs the right human—someone responsible, consistent, and ready to love one ridiculously joyful little panther.

Age/DOB: 9-23-2025

I am spayed, tested negative for FIV/ FeLV, microchipped, dewormed, treated with Revolution, and am up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines.

You may apply to adopt at www.purrsandwhiskers.org/adopt
