Leo's Story

Meet Leo, a sweet, affectionate Scottish Fold who loves his people, cozy spaces, and being showered with attention.

Leo came to ECPR all the way from Saudi Arabia, and he has quickly shown us what a loving companion he can be. He adores people and will happily head butt his favorite humans, make biscuits, and ask for pets. He isn't overly vocal, but he'll let you know when he's ready for some attention with a sweet little meow.

Leo has a calm personality and is happiest in a comfortable, cozy environment. Give him a fluffy bed, a soft towel, and a quiet place to relax, and he'll be perfectly content. He would ideally have an attentive adopter who is home often and can make him part of their daily routine.

Because of his Scottish Fold genetics, Leo has osteochondrodysplasia, a degenerative condition affecting his cartilage and joints. He receives daily gabapentin for pain management and a monthly Solensia injection to help keep him comfortable. His adopter will need to be committed to his ongoing joint care, including limiting jumping from high surfaces and providing an environment where he can move around comfortably.

Leo also has some unique physical needs. His tail contains fused vertebrae and can be painful if handled incorrectly, and his uniquely shaped paws mean his nails need to be kept trimmed regularly. He also experiences chin acne that can become itchy and requires routine cleaning and monitoring. His future family will need to be comfortable with these small but important parts of his care.

Leo has lived with other cats and may do well with a calm, cat-savvy dog. Any introductions should be slow and thoughtful. He would thrive in a home that understands his physical limitations and is willing to make a few accommodations to keep him comfortable and happy.

What Leo lacks in high-energy antics, he makes up for in affection. He's looking for someone who will appreciate his gentle nature, respect his boundaries, and give him the comfortable life he deserves.

If you're looking for a loving companion who would rather make biscuits beside you than climb the furniture, Leo may be your perfect match.

Leo is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.
