Layla's Story
Meet Layla!

This is Layla, a sweet little orange princess. She is the tiniest one of her litter but certainly holds her own when wrestling with her bigger siblings. This girl is confident, sweet and so very adorable! Did you know that only 20% of orange tabby cats are female? Yup, she’s a unicorn girl!

Layla has great cat box habits, even climbing into her mom’s tall box when she could use the smaller kitten sized one!

Layla's mom was recently diagnosed with FIV. While it is rare that the kittens would develop FIV, it is recommended that they are tested at 6 months to determine if they are FIV+. FIV is transmitted to other cats by deep bite wounds - so in a peaceful household, there is less risk. Most cats who develop FIV end up living long, healthy lives. We are happy to discuss this further if interested!

Because Layla is a kitten, she will need to be adopted into a home with another young cat or kitten. Due to her special circumstance with her mom, we recommend she gets adopted with her sibling.

--
In hopes of promoting healthy lifelong social skills for cats, The Rescue Pack has a policy for kittens who are 4 months or younger that requires them to be adopted: As a pair, with a cat who is 3 years or younger, or adopted into a home with a cat who is 3 years or younger.

Our adoption fee includes spay/neuter and microchipping for all animals. Our adoption fee is $300 per cat.

All have had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer and treated for fleas and ear mites if needed. All cats are tested for FeLV/FIV at six months of age. If you are interested in meeting this kitten, please fill out an application on our website!

https://www.therescuepack.org/cat-adoption-application
